Kynos is not just for
big platforms.
Anywhere adults and minors talk to each other online, the pattern we detect can show up. That includes platforms you might assume are too small, too niche, or not our audience. They usually are not. Here is what it looks like to work with us, the kinds of organizations we fit, and how we improve the system for everyone together.
If your people talk to young people online, you are probably on this list.
We get asked constantly whether Kynos is only for big social platforms. It is not. Detection works wherever there are direct-message style conversations between adults and minors. That covers a lot more ground than most people assume.
Platforms
Social apps, creator platforms, teen-focused communities, and any product with a DM surface between adult and minor accounts.
Schools + districts
K-12 systems running their own messaging, tutoring, or family-communication layers. Online learning and homework-help platforms with teacher-to-student chat.
Child welfare
Foster care agencies, adoption programs, and child advocacy organizations that run communication tools connecting minors with caseworkers or mentors.
Youth-serving nonprofits
Mentoring programs, after-school networks, camp organizations, and community nonprofits with any digital touch point between staff, volunteers, and kids.
Gaming + creator
Game platforms with teen players, creator-adjacent moderation stacks, and trust-and-safety teams working with communities that include minors.
Counseling + support
Teen counseling services, crisis lines with persistent chat, peer support networks, and mental health platforms with adolescent users.
Faith + community
Youth ministry programs, camp administrations, and community organizations with digital touch points to minors.
Research + academic
University labs working on detection science, digital forensics programs, and applied ML groups studying online child safety.
Law enforcement
ICAC task forces, federal partners, and investigative groups who need evidence bundles, verification, and expert witness support.
For LEIf your organization is not on this list and you are not sure whether it fits, write to us anyway. We almost always learn something from the conversation.
You do not have to wait for the full roadmap to get value.
Everything below is live and in use right now. It is not coming soon. It is the platform.
Real-time scoring
Messages between adults and minors scored the moment they are sent. Composite risk score, behavioral signals, per-message confidence.
Alert workflow
Triage queue, acknowledge/resolve lifecycle, case grouping, webhook delivery to the tools your team already uses.
Evidence preservation
Every scored message sealed into a tamper-evident chain. Independently verifiable. Exportable on a customer’s terms.
Operator dashboard
Built for the analysts who will sit with it. Session detail, score trajectories, behavioral sidebars, signed forensic reports.
Where detection goes next.
Language coverage
Expanding detection beyond English to the languages our partners actually ship in. Grooming patterns are multilingual, and the model should be too.
Deeper behavioral science
More specialized submodels for different harm surfaces and relationship contexts. The current system is strong; the next version is stronger.
Partner-only capabilities
Additional tooling for qualified partners in specific sectors, including law enforcement. Discussed directly, not advertised here.
Verification transparency
Publishing more of the cryptographic tooling and forensic guidance so every bundle we produce is easier to stand up in court.
Open evaluation datasets
Sanitized benchmarks so the broader research community can measure detection systems honestly and push the whole field forward.
Policy + advocacy
Work alongside policy experts and advocacy orgs to make sure detection, consent, and evidence norms evolve together, not separately.
Every partner makes the detection better for everyone.
Partners can opt in to a structured, anonymized improvement loop. Aggregated signal statistics and carefully sanitized case shapes flow back into our research and model work, so detection keeps getting sharper for the next platform and the next kid.
No customer content leaves the customer’s boundary without explicit, contract-level agreement.
Opt-in only
The improvement loop is a feature a partner chooses. It is off by default. It is never a precondition of using the platform.
Sanitized by construction
Content that would identify a person does not flow back. Aggregates, signal distributions, and structural features do. The raw conversation stays where it was produced.
Everyone benefits
The partners opting in help improve detection for partners who cannot. That is a feature. Kids at small platforms get protection funded by bigger ones.
Partnering with us.
Every partnership looks different. What stays constant is that we treat it as a real relationship, not a transaction. We will not disappear after onboarding.
