501(c)(3) Nonprofit

Zenith Kids is bigger
than any one piece of software.

Zenith Kids is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Charlotte, NC, expanding to Nashville, TN. Our work centers on three groups of young people. Survivors of sexual abuse and trafficking. Children in foster care. Youth navigating the juvenile justice system. Kynos is one of the things we are building inside that mission.

01 /Who we serve

Three groups of young people the system routinely fails.

Every one of these groups is underserved. Every one of them is made up of kids who did nothing to deserve the hand they were dealt. Our work is designed to give them real skills, real support, and a real path forward.

Survivors

Young people who have lived through sexual abuse or trafficking. Our programs pair trauma-informed support with STEAM education that helps them rebuild confidence and see a future worth planning for.

Foster youth

Kids in foster care and those transitioning out of it. We fund Empower Packs for new foster placements and build programming that gives these kids continuity while the rest of their life is in motion.

Juvenile justice

Youth moving through the juvenile justice system. Educational access, mentorship, and support that treats them like young people with potential, not case numbers.

02 /Where Kynos fits

One problem looked engineerable. So we engineered it.

A piece of the broader problem, the grooming conversation between an adult and a minor, turned out to be a thing modern ML can actually detect. Most other childhood harms do not hand you that opening.

Kynos is our attempt to take that opening seriously. Build it well, sell it to the platforms and organizations that need detection, and send the proceeds back inside Zenith Kids.

01 /

Kynos earns revenue

From platforms, schools, youth-serving organizations, and research partners who license the detection platform.

02 /

A portion sustains Kynos

Keeps detection improving, training data refreshed, infrastructure running, and access free for the people who cannot pay.

03 /

The rest funds the mission

Flows into STEAM programs, Empower Packs, and direct support for survivors, foster youth, and justice-involved kids.

03 /The broader work

Kynos funds the work. This is the work.

STEAM access

Science, technology, engineering, arts, and math programming designed around the lived experience of the young people we serve. Hands-on workshops, tech labs, and creative skill-building.

Empower Packs

Personalized support packs for youth entering foster care or transitioning from facilities. Practical comfort items, resources, and a note that says someone is paying attention.

Support through transition

Ongoing resources and connections for youth moving between foster placements, home, and the juvenile justice system. Consistency during the least consistent moments of a young person’s life.

Safety + connection

Trauma-informed spaces and peer-to-peer programming that helps survivors rebuild trust and form healthy relationships. Slow, patient, and done alongside the kids themselves.

04 /The shape of it

Small, deliberately. For now.

Zenith Kids is a young nonprofit. The team is small and the operating structure is intentional. We would rather build a few things that hold up than spread thin over a dozen that do not.

Kynos is at the center of that bet. Done well, it funds the programs we actually want to run and protects kids we will never meet. Done poorly, it is one more product in a market already full of them. We are doing everything we can to do it well.

Where we work

Charlotte, NC. Nashville, TN next.

Our programs run on the ground in the Southeast and expand as capacity allows. Kynos itself runs wherever its customers are.
